The second day of the sports forum "Sports4greenDeal" began with a competition between the Hungarian teams and the "Lokomotiv"-Ruse Canoe-Kayak Sports Club in the "Dragon Boats" discipline. On the lake in Lesopark "Lipnik" they competed in the 500 m distance, in which the Hungarian team won with a minimal lead of 0.5 seconds.
After the racing part, all the teams participating in the event took the opportunity to board the dragon boats. They are four in number and were donated by the Chinese city of Yichun, with which Ruse recently signed a declaration to establish friendly relations. With them, Bulgaria will participate in the upcoming World Dragon Boat Championship in 2025, which will be held precisely at the rowing base in Nikolovo.
The demonstration part of the program was also attended by the mayor Pencho Milkov, who also took part in sailing with the attractive boats.
Later, from 2 p.m., a seminar "Eco-responsibility in sport" was held in the "Culture" hall (3 Tsaribrod Street), in which representatives of Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Malta and Lithuania participated with their presentations.
From 5:00 p.m., orienteering and athletics running competitions began in the Youth Park, in which the teams of Lithuania, Germany, the Czech Republic, Turkiye, Serbia, Romania, North Macedonia and Bulgaria participated.
